Our Story – Clermont-Ferrand
History
The gallery was founded in 1967 by René Chabannes and Christiane Vallé.
Both passionate about art and artistic creation, together they built the Christiane Vallé gallery through exhibitions of figurative art and promoted numerous artists: Bernard Buffet, Jean Jansem and Grabriel Dauchot... They sought to highlight the creators of their time and scouted for the artists of tomorrow. Their work soon made a name for itself not only in the region, but also nationally and internationally.
After 40 exhilarating years, during which art lovers found the works that would share their daily lives, they passed the gallery on to their son Cyril.
Their son will take the gallery digital, but also bring a more contemporary look. This handover came to a premature end with the death of Cyril Chabannes.
But the family story doesn't end there, as the founders' grandson, David Chabannes, takes the reins of this historic gallery. Today, the gallery focuses on modern art, narrative figuration, pop art and street art. The life of the gallery is a two-way street with David and Laura Chabannes.
Together, they are a force for innovation, transmitting their passion and vision of art. They are present on social networks (Instagram, Tik Tok). They continue to promote the gallery's historic artists, such as Roger Bonafé and Claude Vena, Jean Moiras...
The gallery aims to keep up with the times, with Pop and street art artists such as Keymi, Jo Di Bona, Motte and many others, as well as internationally renowned artists such as Peter Klasen and Greg Léon Guillemin. Pop colors and figuration give the gallery a boost, with eye-catching displays, installations and showcases.
The gallery's reputation is built on exhibitions, trade shows and international exchanges.
