Chloé Kelly Miller : La Nature au Cœur du Je(u)
June 15 to November 2, 2025
La Nature au cœur du je(u) : An Introspective Journey by Chloé Kelly Miller
In the heart of the Château de Val, Chloé Kelly Miller's exhibition “La Nature au cœur du je(u)” invites visitors to delve into the intricacies of identity and human nature. The artist, who explores the unconscious through painting, sculpture, photography and poetry, offers a subtle reflection on the interplay of identity and environment, where “I” and “play” become one.
The works on display, split into several pieces rather than confined to rectangular frames, symbolize the fragmentation of the soul and the multiplicity of perceptions. Each piece, whether a fragmented canvas or a fragmented sculpture, reflects the complex interaction between the individual and his or her natural environment.
Drawing on psychology and introspection, Chloé Kelly Miller invites us all to get lost and find ourselves in this visual labyrinth, where each fragment of nature and humanity blends together to form a coherent whole, yet in perpetual motion.
The exhibition is a dialogue between art and place, between the artist's “I” and the public's “game” of interpretation, reminding us that identity and nature are two sides of the same mirror, where each reflection invites a new interpretation of the world around us.
Vernissage : Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 11am in the presence of the artist.

Bernard Buffet, Œuvres gravées
From January 24 to February 15, 2025
Bernard Buffet was much more than a painter. He was a complete artist who mastered all techniques, particularly engraving.
One artist, one technique
Unlike many artists who entrust the production of their engravings to professionals, Bernard Buffet always insisted on mastering the entire creative process. From the initial sketch to the final proof, each engraving and lithograph is the result of meticulous, personal work.
A unique view of the world
The works presented in this exhibition testify to the artist's virtuosity and his ability to translate the themes dear to him—landscapes, still lifes, human figures—onto copper or stone. His incisive lines and limited palette give his engravings a unique expressive power.
The techniques explored
The exhibition will allow you to discover the different engraving techniques mastered by Bernard Buffet:
- Lithography: A stone printing process that allows for a limited number of prints.
- Copper engraving: A more complex technique that allows for very fine details.
Opening: Friday, January 24, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Practical information:
- Location: Galerie Christiane Vallé, 15 rue Philippe Marcombes, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand
- Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Château de Val 50 ans : traversée artistique
From July 21 to October 27, 2024
The exhibition is coming to an end soon! The exhibition is open until October 27, 2024.
Celebrating half a century of exhibitions at the prestigious Château de Val, the Galerie Christiane Vallée is proud to present “Traversée Artistique,” a unique retrospective tracing the evolution of art from 1930 to 2024. Through the works of some sixty internationally renowned artists, this exhibition offers a captivating journey into the heart of the artistic movements that have shaped the cultural landscape of the last century.
This retrospective is not only a celebration of individual artists, but also an exploration of how their works interact with each other and with the world around them. From Pablo Picasso, an emblematic figure of modernism, to Shepard Fairey, a pioneer of contemporary street art, each selected artist brings a unique and enriching vision of their era.
As you walk through the exhibition rooms, discover the diversity of styles, techniques, and perspectives that have emerged over the years. From the lyrical abstractions of Sam Francis to the geometric compositions of Claude Venard, from the expressionism of Bernard Buffet to the visual provocations of Philippe Pasqua, each work presented here is an invitation to explore the creative universe of its author.
The contemporary works of Peter Klasen, Jean Moiras, and Robert Combas bear witness to the vitality and constant innovation that characterize modern art. At the same time, the creations of street artists such as Blek le Rat, Add Fuel, and Jonone reflect the urban pulse and visual revolutions of our time. This artistic diversity, showcased in a setting as majestic as the Château de Val, offers an incomparable aesthetic and intellectual experience.
This exhibition is a window onto the history of modern and contemporary art, a celebration of the artists who have pushed the boundaries of creativity, and a tribute to the timeless power of art. Each work and each artist represented here bears witness to the richness and complexity of the artistic journey of recent years.
We hope that this collection will spark curiosity, reflection, and admiration, and that each page will remind us of the essential role of art in our understanding of the world and ourselves.
Welcome to “Artistic Journey.” May this journey through the evolution of art be as enriching as it is unforgettable.

Flowers
From June 16 to July 13, 2023
Some of them symbolize feelings we all know, such as love, hope, or nostalgia. Others serve as markers in time, such as the beginning of spring, a reunion at a family meal, or a final tribute to a loved one who has passed away. Regardless of the different interpretations given to them, flowers have one thing in common among artists: they are a source of inspiration.
Flowers have always been present in art. Their colors and diversity make them the subject or material—or both—of many works. Sometimes, they even serve as bridges between artists, whether or not they come from the same artistic universe. Le Pouvoir des Fleurs by Alain Souchon and Laurent Voulzy is a song that has inspired future generations, even being covered by the Enfoirés troupe and then by Kids United. Claude Monet's famous Water Lilies inspired Michel Bussi's novel Nymphéas noirs, a huge literary success in France. The same common denominator, as we said...
This is why our Flowers exhibition is so meaningful. Through it, we aim to trace the theme of flowers through the ages, whether used as a simple academic theme or as an element of protest. A retrospective with multiple perspectives, those of artists with radically different worlds but united by an inspiration that is as striking as ever. From the pop culture of Greg Léon Guillemin to the more architectural vision of Jean Moiras, via the sensitivity of Chloé Kelly Miller, the conclusion is the same: every flower has a story to tell and emotions to convey.
Takashi Murakami, undoubtedly the most famous Japanese artist in the world, explains it better than anyone: "I must admit that at first, I didn't like flowers. Despite their scent, their shape, everything that almost made me feel sick, I found them increasingly cute: each one seemed to have its own feelings, its own personality... Yet a feeling of unease prevailed in me, and it was precisely this that made me appreciate flowers more and more. I draw them very frequently, and this feeling came back to me with force. The same force produced by a human face when one undertakes to draw it."
